HAMILTON, ONT. – The hall of famers have been announced.

The Hamilton‑Halton Construction Association (HHCA) will induct Larry, Dale and Wynn McDonald of Ira McDonald Construction into the 2026 Construction Hall of Fame.

The associated notes these three brothers’ leadership has shaped both the company and the construction community for decades.

The honour will be presented at the HHCA’s 106th Annual General Meeting and dinner on April 9 in Hamilton.

Founded in 1941 by Ira E. McDonald, who is also construction hall of fame inductee, Ira McDonald Construction was built on strong family values and a commitment to quality, a release reads.

With Larry, Dale and Wynn at the helm, the company has grown into a respected construction management and general contracting firm serving southern Ontario.

Now in its 85th year and third generation of leadership, the company continues to deliver projects across the industrial, commercial, institutional and health care sectors.

The McDonald brothers are also active outside of work.

They have been active supporters of industry and community organizations, including the HHCA, the Ontario General Contractors Association, the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Association of Women in Construction.

“Larry, Dale and Wynn McDonald represent the very best of our construction community,” said Cameron Nolan, chair of the HHCA Construction Hall of Fame, in a statement. “Through decades of leadership, they have built more than projects — they’ve built a company grounded in integrity, strong relationships and a deep commitment to Hamilton‑Halton. Their collective impact makes them truly deserving of this honour.”
