Site work for a power facility in Peace River, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a power facility. Construction of a large-scale nuclear power generating plant in Peace River Region capable of producing up to 4,800 megawatts of power. The plant will have four (4) CANDU MONARK reactors, each providing 1000MW of electricity to Alberta’s electrical grid. Two locations are currently under consideration:
1 – East of Highway 743 and south of Township Road 864, about 30 km north of the Town of Peace River. This site is within the County of Northern Lights.
2 – North of Highway 986 and Township Road 854, next to Range Road 203, also about 30 km north of the Town of Peace River. This site is within the Northern Sunrise County.
