Aecon awarded contract to build $205M wastewater treatment plant in Manitoba
AECON — Aecon has been awarded a contract for the Red-Seine-Rat Cooperative Wastewater Treatment Facility project in Niverville, Man.

NIVERVILLE, MAN. – Aecon has announced it has been awarded a contract for the in Niverville, Man.

The new facility is slated to increase capacity for several growing communities in the area as well as future housing development while supporting the reduction of CO2 emissions.

The municipalities the project will directly impact include Niverville, Taché, Hanover, Ritchot, La Broquerie and De Salaberry.

Once complete, the facility will serve more than 30,000 people with a capacity for up to 70,000 residents.

“Aecon’s strong industrial and water infrastructure capabilities will drive the safe delivery of this sustainable project. We are excited to work alongside our valued client, harnessing our diverse self-perform expertise,” said John Singleton, senior vice-president, industrial, Aecon Group Inc., in a statement.
