2026 OAA conference looking for presenters

TORONTO — Are you interested in being a speaker at next year’s Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) conference or leading one of the OAA’s continuing education webinars?

If so, the OAA wants to hear from you.

From May 13 to 15, 2026, the  will be held in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region.

Themed Collaboration Powering Innovation, the event will explore how collaboration thrives in the Grand Valley.

“The climate crisis, housing shortages, and anxieties around economies and supply chains mean the need for collaboration and innovation has never been more valued,” the association notes in a release. “To achieve a resilient, adaptive, and functional built environment, the profession must examine the tools for better co-creating with project team collaborators, clients, citizens and municipalities.” Known as the OAA’s flagship event, it will bring experts and delegates to the heart of Canadian tech innovation for three days of learning, professional development and celebration.

The  reflects the OAA’s dedication to promoting and increasing the knowledge, skill and proficiency of its members. As such, it is asking its members, and other thought leaders outside the profession, to propose ideas for in-classroom lectures and in-the-field experiential learning at the 2026 conference, as well as for online learning opportunities in the new year.

From legal, code or practice issues and local project case studies to highlighting advancements with design tools or building materials, this is a chance to share your expertise with architects, licensed technologists, and other design/construction experts across Ontario, the release notes.
