WINNIPEG – Commercial real estate adviser Avison Young recently unveiled Dawson Crossing in Winnipeg is now available for sale or lease.
Fronting onto Fermor Avenue, a part of the Trans-Canada Highway, the proposed development will include retail and multifamily elements and “will serve as the gateway to cottage country in eastern Manitoba as well as northwestern Ontario,” states a release.
There will be approximately 250,000 square feet of retail capacity for large-format anchor parcels and street-facing storefronts.
“Dawson Crossing offers one piece of the puzzle toward resolving Winnipeg’s housing shortage by providing up to 3,000 residential units near planned transit. It will add to the vibrancy of other neighbourhoods already established to the west and south,” said Todd Labelle, vice-president of Avison Young, in a statement. “Dawson Crossing will be surrounded by 12 acres of parkland.”
The development is adjacent to Sage North and Sage Creek, two master-planned communities of residences, retail, parkland and trails.
